Today I was sitting on my friends porch. They have automatic porch lights that turn on at 6 o’clock. I waited until 5:59 and shouted “Lumos” at the lights. They turned on. I feel like a wizard. MLIA mylifeisaverage.com has further proven that everything can relate back to Harry Potter.

“I’m just gonna make a Jersey Shore Shirley.”
– Me in Digital Workflow today, while trying to hand-color skin tones in Photoshop. Poor Shirley.

“Water is the best drink in the world…except for Hennessy.”
– My HON182 professor from my fall 2008 semester at Hartford. I actually wrote this down in my notes for that day so I could tell everyone I know about the hilarious things that this man says, and I just found this notebook like, three seconds ago. I still think this is one of the funniest things any...

I really wonder if Starbucks realized how much easier they were making my life when they decided to introduce whole-leaf tea to their stores. I mean, obviously they weren’t, I have no influence whatsoever on Starbucks Corporate’s decisions. But I’d really like to think they were thinking of me when this decision was made. Because now when I’m making the mad dash to the Back...

And I realized that I totally could…if I didn’t use the FarmVille application. I actually had this exact thought sequence in my head just now… “Well, I mean, yeah, sure, I could just like, not check Facebook for a week. Not difficult at...

Call me an elitist...
…but I think that there should be camera control laws not unlike Massachusetts gun control laws. Don’t get me wrong. I’m entirely open to people discovering photography, and experimenting with it. No one is born a master photographer. But there is a difference between someone who can take “pretty photos” and a photographer of any degree, ranging from amateur to...

My mom emailed this to me, and yes, it’s incredibly recycled, but I just completely love it because about 99% of this is true about myself (the 1% that is untrue of myself is whatever pertains to the Red Sox being a “good team”..psch…) For those of you who have never been to “Bawstin”, this is a good guideline. I hope you will consider coming to...

This needs to happen now →
Ok, what? It operates on a Linux system, can rapidly shoot multiple images with different focus points to make everything in the composition sharp, rapidly shoots different exposures and makes an HDR right there in the camera. I didn’t think there would ever be such a thing. I’m way beyond excited for the production of this.
